  • About the Deck

    Resiliency Cards are playful yet powerful tools designed to help you build greater well-being and resilience. Each of the 64 cards offers a simple practice for navigating life’s ups and downs with grace and strength. Think of this deck as a supportive companion, providing reminders, practical guidance, and inspiration to live well in challenging times.

    Each Resiliency Card features a single, simple practice that you can quickly learn and enjoy. The deck includes 8 practices in each of 8 categories: Breath, Movement, Touch, Connection, Movement, Writing, Practical, and Self-Discovery.

    Most do not require any props or materials, but a few—such as the writing practices—do. Many can be completed in just a few minutes. Some require more time or can be lengthened for a deeper experience.

    Feel free to make these practices your own! Many can be turned into partner or group practices—even if the instructions are for solo practice. There is no wrong way to use them!

  • How to Use the Cards

    There are many ways to use the cards. Here are a few suggestions:

    Qi (Energy) Snack - Draw and engage with a single card anytime of the day to create a revitalizing state-shift.

    Resilience Routine - Choose your favorite 6-8 practices–one from each category or 2-3 from a few categories. Do them regularly, as a series, to create a morning or evening routine.

    Resilience Ritual - When you are facing a challenge, you can create a ritual to support you. Drop into your heart and be fully present. Browse through the deck, allowing your intuition to guide you to a few cards that feel really aligned. Set them up on an altar and do them mindfully in whatever order feels really good.

    Partner or Pair Play - Sort the cards into their 8 color-coded categories. Set aside a specific amount of time for your resilience play time. Take turns selecting a card. Do the practice together—side by side or facing each other. Many practices can be turned into pair work—or can be done separately but in the same space.

  • About the Artwork

    ​Each resiliency practice is paired with a photograph of an Earth Altar. These sacred mandalas celebrate the beauty and honor the impermanence of the natural world. Co-creating with nature, Resiliency Cards creator Laura Loescher designs Earth Altars using cultivated flowers and wildflowers, fallen leaves, seeds, pods, and stones. Every composition is a unique exploration of beauty and order amidst the chaos of our ever-changing world. Paired with resiliency practices, Earth Altars remind us that even when things fall apart, we always have a choice to craft beauty from the pieces.
